Christopher C. Rosas has dedicated his legal career to representing property owners, developers, and energy sector clients in complex litigation and property tax matters across the country, most notably in Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota. His litigation practice includes property tax litigation, disputes involving purchase and sale agreements, joint operating agreements, lease terminations, royalty and title issues, and joint development agreements. He has deep experience handling real estate-specific conflicts such as ownership disputes, misclassification of improvements, valuation appeals, and environmental claims in both state and federal courts.
In addition to litigation, Mr. Rosas provides strategic counsel on a wide range of transactional matters—including mergers and acquisitions, upstream and midstream development agreements, corporate structuring, and title matters. He has represented clients in industries spanning commercial real estate, retail, logistics, energy infrastructure, and manufacturing, with a particular focus on assets such as multifamily portfolios, gas gathering facilities, pipelines, and convenience retail locations. Mr. Rosas has successfully advocated for commercial taxpayers before local and state administrative bodies, as well as in district courts, focusing on disputes involving excessive fair market value (FMV), economic and useful life (E&U) challenges, and industry-specific classification issues across a broad asset base.
He earned his J.D. from the University of Denver College of Law and holds dual B.A. degrees in Political Science and History from Texas A&M University. During his undergraduate years, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve with the 420th Engineers Brigade and was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for service. Before attending law school, Mr. Rosas worked for the Brazos County Court at Law #2. He is licensed to practice law in Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, and North Dakota and holds a Senior Property Tax Consultant license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
